Hanna Zhu

Hanna Zhu is a PhD candidate at CTMT. Her research explores how AI-generated content (AIGC) can enhance human-centered videos, especially in screen dance. She focuses on using generative AI like GPT-4 and machine learning to support emotional depth and storytelling.

Hanna holds a Master’s in Statistics and Research Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has worked at ByteDance, Tesla, and Walmart, and co-founded a creative tech startup. As an award-winning dance video creator, she combines practice and research to explore how AI can support but not replace human creativity.
